Comfizz have announced that their Support Vests are now available on prescription.

The Support Vests are the new alternative, support underwear.  If ostomates have multiples stomas

or high-sited stomas, the Support Vest is the ideal garment.

Comfizz’s, level 1, light support vests provide soft, gentle support, which is incorporated into a

practical, modern vest.  It is ideal for supporting any stoma site, but especially helpful for multiple stomas, hernias or high-sited stomas, which ordinarily are difficult to support with underwear.  The men’s style is sporty, whilst the women’s vest is feminine with adjustable straps.  All styles are comfortable enough to be worn all day, every day, whilst offering all of the following benefits.

Comfortable support incorporated into a practical, modern vest.

Forget about a stoma, regain self confidence.

Keeps skin cool and dry through breathable fabric.

Hernia symptom relief.

Can improve stoma pouch adherence, thus reducing leaks.

Smoother body shape.

Reduces dragging feeling.

Gentle compression aids release of gas and reduces bloated pouch.

Virtually seamless, no irritating labels.

Allows total freedom of movement.

Will not restrict the flow of the stoma.

OstoMART Limited are pleased to announce that they are one of the first Dispensing Appliance

Contractors to be fully operational for the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) in England.

EPS is an NHS service, which allows a patient the opportunity to change the way their GP

sends their prescription to a home delivery company, and OstoMART have invested in the very latest

NHS computer equipment to allow their customers to fully benefit from this new service. This means

that patients using OstoMART’s Responder Home Delivery Service will be able to benefit from an even faster service, with no need to collect prescriptions in person and post them, more patient choice and

an overall easier process from the comfort of a patient’s home.  Ostomates can ask their GP practice

if they are set up for EPS, and if not, when this will happen.

To register for the Responder Service, or to find out more about EPS and how it can benefit you,

please telephone OstoMART on 0800 220 300 or visit www.ostomart.co.uk.

NEWS

Patient Choice, a new type of independent healthcare company, has been launched offering a home delivery service, which places patient choice and care above profit.  Profits will go to charitable

purposes within stoma care and bowel or bladder conditions, and will be offered in the form of grants

to charities, who can deliver innovative patient support projects in the UK and worldwide.  Its prescription delivery service provides medical appliances and impartial information, enabling patients

to make their own choices about their own care with the support of clinical professionals.

The company has been founded by Neil Basil, who established the highly successful, national charity Ostomy Lifestyle in 2007.  From his work in this sector, Neil has seen how failings in the healthcare system mean patients often do not receive the most appropriate appliances for their condition, even though they are readily available on prescription in the UK.

All ostomates can expect exactly the same quality of service as every other home delivery company, including:

However, in addition, an ostomate can be assured that Patient Choice are:

The company believes that by using the home delivery service of Patient Choice, an ostomate

really can make a difference.  For more information on Patient Choice Delivery, please visit the

website www.patientchoicefoundation.org, email admin@patientchoicefoundation.org

or telephone 01702 680 122.
